Platte Canyon High School Debrief
The hostage incident at Platte Canyon High School in 2006 was as unique as it was tragic. A single, suicidal man entered a high school classroom and took hostages. After negotiations, he was left alone with two teenage girls and gave a deadline for when he would, “blow up the building.” Before the deadline, SWAT executed a first of its kind dual explosive breach. Hear the debrief from the man who planned it. We’ll go over what went right and what went wrong to help you better plan for incidents such as this in the future.
